This past Friday night, at Mulberry St Ristorante (aka The Anti-Club) where I DJ with my friend Phil, we devoted the evening to the music of Brian Eno, who is a pioneer of ambient and electronic music. He started out in the band Roxy Music in the 1970s, and then went solo, producing a large number of albums, many of which were collaborations with other important musicians like David Byrne (from Talking Heads) and John Cale (from The Velvet Underground). Eno also produced a number of important records by U2, Talking Heads, David Bowie, and other great artists. For our set, we included lots of music by Eno, along with artists he collaborated with, produced, or were inspired by this musical legend. Here’s our setlist, with album artwork.
