Steve Metzger's Introspective @ The Egan

The current art show at my friend Bax Baxter's gallery The Egan (located in The Magoski Arts Colony) is called "Introspective" and features over 40 years of paintings by local artist Steve Metzger.  Here's what Baxter has to say about the show:

"Take a wild ride through modern art history as we scratch the surface of the 40 plus year professional career of Fullerton painter, sculptor and educator, Steve Metzger. All mediums and styles which have interested Steve over the years will be sampled at this exhibit. Among the work on exhibit are four newly created expressionistic street scene oil paintings which have never been exhibited before. Some of the art dating back decades has also never been seen before.  Steve Metzger works and lives in Fullerton California. He has public sculptures on display in Brea, Santa Ana and at CSUF. Steve’s paintings and three dimensional pieces have shown in galleries, museums throughout California are in the permanent collection of corporations and art well beyond our State."

Your last chance to see (and purchase!) work from this show is at the closing reception this Saturday, August 24th from 7-10pm.  The Magoski Arts Colony is located at 223 W. Santa Fe Ave. Fullerton, CA.  Visit www.magoskiartscolony.com.  Hope to see you there!
