"Open Space" @ BOOKMACHINE tonight!

Bookmachine books + zines is proud to present “Open Space” a photography exhibit about Coyote Hills, featuring photographs by Ira McNabb, Josue Rivas, and Jesse La Tour. The opening reception is Friday, October 5, 2012 from 6-10pm during the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk.

Coyote Hills, one of the last, large natural open spaces in North Orange County, is threatened by development. For over 30 years, the Friends of Coyote Hills, a local non-profit volunteer organization, have been fighting against the Chevron
Corporation to protect the land, and open it as a park, for all to enjoy.

This November, Fullerton voters face their last chance to save Coyote Hills from development. A “NO” vote on Measure W will block Chevron’s most recent development proposal.

In the tradition of social realism and environmentalist art, “Open Space” is meant to give a visual vocabulary to a threatened landscape. Half of all proceeds will go to the Friends of Coyote Hills.

Spread the word! Vote NO on Measure W! Save Coyote Hills!

Love,
