Benefits of Not Having a Car

Not having a car in Fullerton has its benefits. Aside from the obvious financial savings, it forces you to walk more. And when you walk, you have to acknowledge other people more. Some of the walkers are either homeless or poor. When you walk past them, you see them. You are on a level playing field, so to speak. You do not have the isolating fortress of a car, and this can be good. After a few months of this, you might get to know some of these people.
