I spent the afternoon with my cousin Jenny and her daughter Magna (who is in second grade) at Magna's school in Milwaukee. She goes to a French Immersion School, where they are taught half of the day in French. It's so awesome--these little kids learning two languages. And, it's a public school, so there are lots of lower income kids who go there. I think every school should be an immersion school. Magna's grade had a luau, as a kind of end of the year party.
