I had a pretty awesome day

Lots of times when I write, it's because I'm frustrated or sad, but today was pretty awesome, and I am just happy, so I thought I would write about it.

I had a delicious lunch at Cafe West with my roommate Landon, and I got talking to the owner there and I ended up getting a solo art show there next month, opening on February 4th. It's going to be called "You're Doing a Really Great Job," which is one of my favorite things to say to people.

Then, I took my nephew Jonas to Yogurtland and the 99 cent store and we each got a toy (He got a dart gun, and I got a rubber snake--a cobra). Jonas is one of my favorite people in the world. Out of everyone I know, he gets most visibly excited to see me.

Then I hung out with my grandma Sally for over an hour, talking about her life, which is always seriously interesting. Grandma Sally is also one of my favorite people in the world. She is probably the most humble and genuinely kind person I know.

Then I had dinner at In-N-Out with my brother and his family, who are visiting from Washington, and my 3-year-old neice Adeline told some pretty amazing knock-knock jokes, for example:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Cook.
Cook who?
I like the cook.

Yesterday I was feeling sort of anxious about my financial situation, not getting many classes this semester, my roommates moving out, wondering if I am going to still afford my apartment. I'm not really a church-going man, but yesterday I prayed. And today was amazing. That's all I have to say about that.
